Hi @Dave Carpels,

The uuid you cannot view in a context field, however in a ContextHub view you can add a column with a short-key, This short-key is also unique to a context item and can be added as a separate column in a table view.

Kind regards

Frederik

Hi @Dave Carpels

I see this question is still open. Can you provide more details on what you are trying to achieve precisely? Do you want a user to be able to click through from one context item to another, or are you trying to tackle something else?

Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Jef, I was trying to use the short key as a unique analytical id for an analytical request. Then use this id for the sample, and later on, when the results come in i can link the request item and time to the final results.

And where in this process do you get stuck exactly?

it would be nice to be able to map this short key to a specific context field (in this case analyse ID). Now we have to ask to create an item. Then open this item, edit and copy the key in the correct context field.

Hi @Dave Carpels,

There isn't a way to add the short ID directly to a specific context item field, but it is displayed in the title when you open a context item. The ID I selected is the short ID of a context item, making it easily accessible — though it isn't editable in that form. Alternatively, you could add these analysis IDs to a keyword field, which would also make them non-deterministic.

Let me know which approach works best for you.
