Based on your question, I assume you are referring to interpolation when exporting the data to Excel only, correct? In visualization, discrete tags should appear stepped (if that’s not the case, there might be some configuration missing in the connector setup).
There have been similar requests to extend the export functionality from other customers, see for example this Product Idea on this Community:

It is the case you mentioned, the data is discrete but the visualization of the tag is not stepped.
