We have a SQL database that continuously collects equipment downtimes along with associated characteristics/properties including, obviously, start and end timestamps. Being able to view these as context items and perform analyses against historian tags that are already accessible as other data sources in Trendminer would be very valuable.

Is it possible to:

1- Import existing event records from SQL Server in Trendminer as Context Items

2- Establish a connection to continue to collect these moving forward?

Hi Yves - great question! It is 100% possible to import existing event records into TrendMiner as Context Items.

We are sunsetting the "Context SQL Sync" feature in favor of our “Generic JDBC“ provider. The link here explains how to set up a Generic JDBC data source for Context purposes.

Best,

Kevin

Kevin,

This is excellent! I saved a copy of the Generic JDBC provider document and will review with our IS support group.

I am happy to read that this can be done.

Thank you for the very quick turnaround.
