SQC tile on dashboard via external content tile

Hi there,

we are trying to add SQC dashboards from Minitab Connect to a TrendMiner dashboard. The URL is whitelisted in ConfigHub with following expression:

https://eu.connect.minitab.com/**

And the URL for the Minitab dashboard is:
https://eu.connect.minitab.com/dashboard/05

However, the tile shows eu.connect.minitab.com has rejected the connection.

Did I configure my external content tile incorrectly? I know that it often helps to create embedded links. However, I did not find an option in Minitab to create embedded links.

Or is there anything else I could try?

I could also imagine that the authentification to Minitab via SSO is the critical step to get it running.

Best regards

Sören

Hi Sören,

I have checked with our Support team and they provided some pointers:

  • External content tiles in dashboard need cookies to properly load all content (and be able to login when required) ==> make sure you are not blocking cookies
  • The link you shared is redirecting to https://licensing.minitab.com/ ==> maybe whitelisting this domain as well helps resolve this
  • The tool you link to needs to allow embedding. Can you check this? Are you using a sharable dashboard link as explained here?

If none of these pointers help, I'd advise creating a support ticket, so our team can look into this with you. If they do, please let us know what did the trick...

Hi Jef,

thanks for the reserach. I cheked all points menteioned above but it is still not working. Your support confirmed that the configuration on TM side was ok.

Most likely, the reason that we cant make it work is that Minitab is only offering sharable links but no embed links. We are following up with Minitab.

Best

Sören

Thank you for letting us know, Sören. If you get an answer from Minitab on embedding links, feel free to share it here, as I think it could be useful for others as well.
