I was sharing the Trendminer dashboard with my colleague, and he asked me a question about whether Trendminer can review the Dashboard and automatically generate a report. This explains any anomaly and some other critical aspects of the machine or system performance based on the dashboard data. Currently have the capabilities to use the trigger of a message or email, looking for reporting that highlights of the last 24 hours (or longer duration).

Welcome to the TrendMiner Community and thank you for sharing this discussion with your colleague with the wider community. Automated reporting based on a dashboard is definitely an interesting idea, but (as you probably noticed) it’s not something that is available in TrendMiner today.
However, with the rise of (gen)AI, I do believe it would be possible to do something like this, so I would like to open up the discussion to gather ideas from you and the rest of our community about what this could entail.
Some things I think would be feasible and useful (but feel free to contradict me):
- Provide a summary of all Context Items in Context View Tiles on the dashboard.
- For monitoring tiles, indicate how often these have triggered in the timespan of the dashboard
- Evaluate the trends on TrendHub view tiles / current value tiles and indicate if there are any deviations from behavior in the past week/month/…
- …
Potentially, there would be a need for an option to add additional information on the purpose of the dashboard, if the process is running in a specific state (e.g., are multiple product being produced on the same line, how is maintenance indicated...) etc, so the AI could better interpret the data.
I’m very curious what others think about this kind of functionality. Do you think it would help you? Do you see another way in which AI can add value to TrendMiner dashboards?
Can you create an automatic screen shot of the dashboard and create a report this way?
The dashboards visually a useful and fast tool to compare how a plant performance week by week, storing a fixed version is a quick way to compare changes/improvements etc

There is an option to export (a snapshot of) a dashboard to html. Combining this with dashboard triggers provides a way to automatically schedule exports. The export is limited to context items tiles at the moment; if you feel it would be valuable to extend this functionality to other tile types, feel free to share a Product Idea in this Community for other customers to vote on and our Product Team to look into the idea further.
