Hi, a coworker cannot login anymore, but can also not change his password. Where can you change your password?

With kind regards,

Hinno

Hi Hinno,

The answer depends on the identity management you use. TrendMiner supports 3 types:

  • local: user accounts are created directly on the TrendMiner server, in ConfigHub, by a TrendMiner application admin. To change the password, a TrendMiner admin needs to log in in ConfigHub, navigate to the users section, search the account and click ‘change password’ in the user details screen.
  • LDAP/AD: user accounts are created and managed on an LDAP server, typically running on the company network. Accounts are managed within your company and user accounts are synchronized to TrendMiner. To change a user password you need to contact your IT. If a password is updated on the LDAP server it will automatically be synced to TrendMiner after a while (by default 1 day but this can be configured). To immediately propagate the new password, ask a TrendMiner admin to synchronize the changes via ConfigHub → Identity Providers → LDAP → sync
  • SAML/SSO: user accounts are created and fully managed on the company network and are never synchronized to TrendMiner. To change a user password you need to contact your IT.

In general, the first step is to ask help from your internal TrendMiner contact and/or TrendMiner admin.

If the problem persists you can create a ticket by sending an email to support@trendminer.com.
