Hello 👋

Here's a short recap of some of the customer sessions at TrendLab 2026 in Eindhoven. The presentation slides are attached for a closer look.

SABIC shared three use cases from Geleen. Fingerprints on multi-year furnace data made coil coking trials faster and more reliable to evaluate. A multivariate model in TrendHub predicted bearing temperature on 4 assets, so a repair could move to a planned stop just in time, preventing more than €1M in losses. A regression model helped find a "golden recipe" for a hard-to-control grade, which has been 100% within spec since and adds over €500k gross margin per year. Next step: scaling to the full Geleen site.

AVR grew from 50 to 120 users across its two waste-to-energy sites, 70% of them in production. MES, LIMS and emissions data now sit next to historian data, control room dashboards are maintained by operators 24/7, and three historians were merged into one with over 150 views migrated.

Nobian is testing AI on process data with TrendMiner AI Early Access Program with data staying in house and the engineer in control. Use cases include root cause analysis of off-spec salt, control loop monitoring and detecting bad process data. In Frankfurt, early-warning models for two chlorine compressors run on the TrendMiner SDK: extracting 240 tags went from about an hour to 5 minutes, and scores are written back as regular TrendMiner tags with automatic alerts.
