Does Trendminer have build-in steam tables or steam data that are available to use, e.g. to show saturation temperature based on a steam pressure tag?
We just received the above question from one of our TrendMiner users and as I figured the answer could be relevant to many of you, I thought I’d add it to the Community, so here we go…When you click on a tag in the list of active tags, you will see a toggle for Accuracy. By default it is on AUTO, but you can switch it on to set your own preferred accuracy. If set to 0.001, for example, you will have 3 digits after the comma. 0.00001 will give you 5 digits. More context on the default behavior and the Accuracy setting can be found in our user guide via this link.
I have a temperature signal that updates every minute or so and I want to derive the daily average of the signal.Trendminer average aggregation gives me a rolling average at each timestamp. What I am after, in this case is a single value per day that represents the average from midnight to midnight the next day. When plotted, this result would show a step change at midnight every day. This would be the equivalent of a PI-Datalink average calculation over a given time period with a 1 day (1d) time interval)Is this feasible?
Where \ How can I access Edge Manager?
In trendminer, I can see, select and display formula’s created by other people, although they are not shared explicitly to me:you can search the tag and display them in trendhub, but you cannot find the through search saved formula’s maybe they are part of a shared dashboard… idkProblem is: some formula’s do not work, need editing, or I just want to know what they do:but I dont know who to contact… because it doesn’t appear to show who created the formula…How do I find out? I have a Dashhub dashboard with current view tiles. I recently remembered the Global Timeframe selection and was hoping that would help with usability of my dashboard. However, when I change the timeframe the current value tiles do not change. Is this expected behavior?
Just updated our systems including plant integration, version hc-4.103.5 has a banner giving a notification than “The Plant Integrations API Console is being deprecated in favor of Swagger.” I am unable to find any information on what this means going forward, is a change coming down the pipeline?
When using complex formulas, it would be helpful to insert comments. This would assist colleagues in understanding the thought process or logic, whether they are revisiting a formula they created themselves or trying to comprehend a shared formula from another colleague.
In the older versions of TrendMiner one could sort the work items within the Work Organizer based on each column. Now one can perform this sorting only on the “name” and “last time used” columns. Why?I especially sort by creator / owner and by type when I am searching for shared work items and by not having this flexibility it takes a lot of time and scrolling to find the desired work items.
I know that I can perform a Value-Based search for a condition and analyze search results to get the duration of any given event. For example, if I want to know for how long a process temperature was below 120’ over the last month, the search results will tell me that one of the durations was 5 days, others may be 5 minutes and so on. i also know that I can create context items and use a context view to show the duration and even apply conditional formatting on the durationHowever, my question is: Is there a way to save the duration in a reusable calculated tag so that I can apply some logic based on the duration e.g. increase severity of an excursion the longer the duration was. or even plot the duration on a time-based trend?
When trying to utilize layers and setting date ranges for sub layers. TM will shift the date range for the data collected from each sublayer an equal amount of time for any time range changes made to the base layer. This makes it extremely difficult to use the layers function as any changes to the base layer change all of the other layers. For example, when trying to compare operating data from a previous run to a current run on the multi-scatter plot. When you update your current data to a new date range (i.e. last 7 days) the sub layers will all shift forward by the same amount of time resulting in you having to redo every sub layer every time you want to update the scatter plot. This seems like a bug and not the intended functionality of layers in the multi-scatter. Is there a way around this?
Hello, I’d like to know how is possible to have an stepped interpolation with an analogic tag ? The best will be to get the option “interpolation” in the parameter of the tag. Thank you for helping me .
Hi team, I’m working through an example based on this Github example: https://github.com/TrendMinerCS/notebooks/blob/main/MLHub/Get%20Interpolated%20Data.ipynbIn the 4th notebook module there is this snippet of code:start = "2022-04-17T07:00:02.000Z"end = "2022-04-19T07:10:02.000Z"How could this be changed to relative time, e.g. start=”-7d” and end=”*” (to use PI’s time notation)?
Very often there are tags with steps in the process, these steps are numbers and TrendMiner take them as default as analog data, hence it interpolates the steps with the numbers, e.g. line flushing, step 100; Production, step 200, duration of line flushing 20 minutes, then start in 100, changing 101, 102...200 during those 20 minutes, when actually more than numbers are labels (texts). Is it possible to change the tag from a analog signal to digital? or avoid the interpolation, otherwise in a VBS looking for a flushing (100) or production (200) the results are fractions of minutes. Thanks.
In order to report consumption of chemical products in a process, I use the integral function of the flowmeters per week, I copy the data, and paste it in a Excel file where I can create a bar graph that factories can use to track the performance of the production line. Is there a way to send information from TM where I can get the integral function to a PowerBI report that is able to produce and show a bar graph to see the progress of consumption? or how can I avoid the use of Excel files for this propose? Thanks.
I am curious if it is possible to have a drop down of past job runs in DashHub. I have a use case where we are interested in creating a fingerprint to determine the best process setpoints and would like to see all past jobs. Users could choose the job name from a selected list to see the results. Is something like this possible or is there another way users are able to look at different results by job run?
Hi there,we are trying to add SQC dashboards from Minitab Connect to a TrendMiner dashboard. The URL is whitelisted in ConfigHub with following expression: https://eu.connect.minitab.com/**And the URL for the Minitab dashboard is:https://eu.connect.minitab.com/dashboard/05However, the tile shows eu.connect.minitab.com has rejected the connection. Did I configure my external content tile incorrectly? I know that it often helps to create embedded links. However, I did not find an option in Minitab to create embedded links. Or is there anything else I could try?I could also imagine that the authentification to Minitab via SSO is the critical step to get it running. Best regardsSören
Hey Guys!We were working on a dashboard and we discovered that we could not add a monitor tile of a Digital Step Search. Does anyone know why this is true?
