Hello,I am currently using Trend Miner and would like to check if a Japanese language version is available (either UI or documentation). if that is not available, then I would like to ask, if there are any plans to support a Japanese version of Trend Miner. If anyone has information or experience with this, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. It would be very helpful for users who prefer Japanese.Thank you for your consideration.
Does a plot operation use the same sampling mode as an index operation?
Hi Guys, Im looking for some help, I have set up my first monitor on a digital tag, the monitor is working and giving me notification within the monitor section but im not receiving a email. I have set up the email alert in the monitor, im looking for some advice on things to check to see if there’s a Trenminer setting stopping it working. Thanks Jake
I want to create an export of al my indexed tags, similar what the index manger showshow can I do that. This list can help me cleaning up the indexing of our system
I was adding upper/lower control limits to a TrendHub view. The only way we knew how was to go to the 'Formula' tab and create a new tag that is a number (i.e. 45 to indicate the maximum). A couple questions: Is there a better way to do this? Is there a way to modify the Upper/Lower Control limit to be dotted/dashed line to distinguish itself from the other 'real' tags?
Ich möchte die MTTR (MeanTimetoRepair) in einem Dashboard abbilden. Diese soll gebildet werden wenn ein Grenzwert über oder unterschritten wird und wenn er wieder im Normalbereich ist. Wie mache ich das am besten? I want to map MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) in a dashboard. It should be calculated when a limit value is exceeded or undercut and when it returns to the normal range. How do I best do this?
I am making a dashboard where I want to show the most critical values of the plant. For every tile I want to make conditions to make it green if good and red if bad. I want to use flexible borders based on a tag. For example the maximum temperature of a vessel depends on the product we make. So I want to make the conditions for making the temperature of the vessel green or red dependent on a separate tag that changes when the product changes. The conditions in the dashboard should therefore be dependent on another tag, not a fixed value. Is this possible?
I have a tank which is emptied regularily ~1 per day. I want to calculate the amount of total material in the tank over a year. No flow meter is available directly. How can I set this up as an output directly in trendMiner?
Est-ce possible de créer un Tag qui calcule les heures du mois précédent“Is it possible to create a tag that calculates the hours of the previous month?” translated by AI.
I configured a value-based search and added calculations to the search. I created context items based on the search results and assigned a context type with associated context fields mapping to the value-based search calculations. Question is: if I configure a monitor using that value-based search and get the monitor to create context items with this specific context type , I see the context fields being listed with optional drop-down boxes. What do I do with these? Will the context item automatically fill-in the results of the calculations to the context fields?
I would like to create a tag that tracks the hourly frequency that a block valve activates. For example, The valve opens 20 time an hour. How can I trend this performance metric? The valve tag is a digital tag.
I have discrete tags that I would like to plot. Today, they are plotted in the staircase format. Would it be possible to just plot the points when the data comes in?
We have tags available where we monitor fa oilusage on a shift or Daily basis. After the shift the tags goes back to zero. I like to create a graph or table to monitor the oilusage per shift for the last 5 7 days
We recently upgraded to TrendMiner 2025.R3.0-15 and noticed that users with access to shared content can also delete it.In our previous PI Vision setup, deletion was typically restricted to higher-level accounts. Is it possible in TrendMiner to limit deletion rights to specific roles while still allowing broader create/edit access? Also, are there recommended best practices (permissions, folder structure, etc.) to prevent accidental deletion of shared content?
Hi all Is there a way to use a single cursor across multiple views in DashHub, similar to the functionality available in PI Vision? See below snapshotsThank you in advancePeter
Dear all, I would like to display the downtime (in minutes) of one machine in a DashHub view. I created a Gantt chart that helps me quickly identify downtime on the line and the related root causes. The goal for the operator is to keep the number of events as low as possible. Similarly to the Event Count, I would like to have a count of total downtime (in minutes). Since the counter only seems to count ContextItems, I considered creating one ContextItem per minute whenever the machine is stopped. However, I’m not sure how to create a tag that tracks minutes, and I’m also wondering if there is a better approach.
I wish to create dashboards for all our plants (13 of them). I would like each dashboard to have a series of associated components for each of the major process units in the plant (anywhere between 10 to 30 major process units per plant): For each process unit, create:TrendHub view with the charge rate in comparison to limits and or planned rate (3 or 4 known tags from different connected data sources). Specify aliases for each plot line - save in a shared site\unit folder Value-based search for unit downtime. Search entire available history and exclude downtime periods + set a context item on the unit charge rate tag - save in a shared site\unit folder Dynamic filter based on the above value-based search - save in a shared site\unit folder Apply this dynamic filter to the TrendHub view Context view for the context items defined with the value-based search - save in a shared site\unit folder Monitor based on the downtime value-based search and add context Once this is created for all m
We are currently using the trendminer‑interface SDK to create and populate custom tags (e.g. predictions / calculated KPIs). During implementation and testing, we have identified a major limitation that becomes critical at scale. When using: client.io.tag.save(tag_data_dict, index=False)to write data to an existing tag:Saving a new dataset overwrites existing historical data for that tag. It is not possible to append new time‑series data to an existing tag. Writing data for a new time range clears previously uploaded history.Although the documentation refers to this operation as an “update”, the actual behavior is a full overwrite of the time series, not an incremental append. Why this is a problem?Because appending is not supported, every update would require:Re‑uploading the entire historical dataset for each tag Maintaining full history externallyThis leads to:Significant performance and bandwidth overhead Long execution times High operational risk (partial uploads or failures can w
I am looking for an advice. We have a SQL Server database that records the various compositions of the daily raw feeds to upstream units for each of our plants. The data is therefore by definition time-series and indexed by plant, unit name and raw feed type with a value of volume/day.Because these data items are related, there would be a natural fit with context items and fields.. They could also be ingested as individual tags with a unique naming convention by plant, unit, raw feed type. Our primary objective is to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for issues observed on downstream units based on the various daily raw feed blends. This definitely involves time shifts and also value-based searches + event analytics.Even though the data is naturally organized as event frames or context items, I am inclined to prefer ingesting this data as individual tags to enable diagnose/cross-correlations, event analyses and possibly fingerprint, unless there is something I am missing with
Dear AllI’ve already deployed the pmml in MLHub but when its success. There’re no ML Tag for creation in Trendview. Does anyone found same problem?
cant sign in to trend
Hi everyone'sI’m the beginner use python for ML, Please help me i can't connect View_ID. the error massage show code 404 how can i do.
We have a SQL database that continuously collects equipment downtimes along with associated characteristics/properties including, obviously, start and end timestamps. Being able to view these as context items and perform analyses against historian tags that are already accessible as other data sources in Trendminer would be very valuable. Is it possible to:1- Import existing event records from SQL Server in Trendminer as Context Items2- Establish a connection to continue to collect these moving forward?
Simple, possibly stupid question: If I want to have a linear regression of a single tag e.g. BA:TEMP.1 against time, how do I do this?
We are upgrading to R4 and want to take advantage of the ability of sharing folders with groups for published/official applications in addition to having personal folders. We have 13 plants and likely 15 process equipment type folders per plant which is what we are planning to use for hosting the applications. This adds up to approximately 200 folders to createI do not seem to be able to create a set folders for a plant to make a bulk copy and paste into another plant. Am I missing something or is there a way to do this?
